WALPEX 2010 Youth Program and “Phish” Bowl |

WALPEX 2010 will again this year include a Youth Program based on the
one offered by the Northeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs at its annual
Philatelic Show. The Youth
Program is designed to introduce children to stamp collecting by giving them
collector pages and stamps at WALPEX and on a monthly basis thereafter. A representative of the Northeast
Federation of Stamp Clubs Youth Program will be present to assist the children
and to answer questions. In addition, the younger collectors (along with many that
are not so young!) always seem to enjoy the “phish” bowl where
packets of stamps can be purchased for 15 cents each or 10 packets for a
dollar. Approximately 10% of the
packets also contain slips to be redeemed for additional philatelic bonus
prizes. |
