Minutes of the meeting of October 7, 2008
President Shufrin opened the meeting at 8:00 with 25 in attendance.
The treasurer’s report showed a positive balance.
The Minutes of the meeting of September 16, 2008 were approved with one minor correction.
Old Business
The Show cover for WALPEX 2008 was passed around.
900 email notices for the show have been sent out, and other notices have been posted and the 1/3 page ad in Linn’s is in the current edition.

New Business
George Norton announced that the Museum is showing members exhibits and invited all to see them.
Steven Tauber gave out the forms for the Scavenger hunt and invited all to participate. There are 24 items listed, none of which are rare but may be hard to find.
The APS is offering a 15 month membership to club members.
The meeting closed at 8:30 and was followed by an excellent talk by former club President Jeff Shapiro on aerophilately. He explained that the subject is complex and illustrated that fact by showing examples of the following subjects included in aerophilately.
