James Hencke has a listing of subjects available for APS circuit books and asked members to express their interests.

The extra session held on September 29 was a success and another will be held later.

New Business

Joel Goldberg noted a request from another club to trade show covers and Jim Warner will follow up on this opportunity.

George Norton called attention to the fact that this is National Stamp Month and Museum members exhibits are now shown in the gallery.

It was voted to make a $50 contribution to the Museum in memory of Joe Landry.

The next meeting will feature Jeff Shapiro speaking about German Inflation stamps.

The meeting closed at 8:40 and was preceded by a vigorous session of putting stamps on 2000 show announcement cards, and was followed by a video on Olympic stamps prepared by the American Topical Association. In keeping with this subject, George Norton prepared a single frame exhibit which featured an attractive display of Olympic stamps and covers. In comparision to the video, this exhibit was far superior. The video showed a series of Olympic stamps, many unattractive, with a boring voice announcing the subjects, starting in 1936 with German stamps. Thankfully it lasted only 20 minutes and was applauded at the end, not for the content, but because it was over.
