Minutes of the meeting of January 5, 2010

President Shufrin opened the meeting at 8:06 with 31 in attendance.

There was no treasurer’s report.

The minutes of the meeting of December 15, 2009 were accepted

A second reading was made for Ted Atkinson and he was welcomed into membership.

Old Business

12 club members have taken Steve Tauber’s challenge to make “order out of chaos”.

New Business

WALPEX 2010 needs a theme and members’ suggestions are sought.

Norm (our President) is researching the Club history.

Bruce Bolduc is seeking help for the Youth Room at the Federation Show.

Museum news

The Bazaar is scheduled for March 6^th.

2010 Schedule

New features for the coming year include: digital microscopy, Jeff Shapiro on postcards,and a Phish bowl work session.

The meeting closed at 8:28 and was followed by a 121 lot auction ably overseen by George Norton. Included was a canvas US mail bag looking like it was found during the big dig with a minimum bid of $2, it went for $5.
