Old
Business
WALPEX 2010 is in need of a theme and the
following are being considered: Boy Scout Anniversary, Postage Meter
Anniversary, and Scouting in General. Other ideas are sought.
New
Business
Jeff Shapiro asked members to consider
exhibiting at the Philatelic Show on April 30, and May 1 and 2.
Dealer Emil Tobler
is being treated for cancer.
The
meeting closed at 8:11 marking the shortest meeting in recent memory.
Two
events followed: Steve Tauber’s challenge to make
order out of chaos and the Show and Tell offerings of members.
There
were four entries in Steve’s competition:
George Cooley who identified a major
charity associated with each stamp
James Hencke who
used each stamp in a tree of life exhibit
Dick Spencer who used each stamp to
illustrate a category of stamp collecting
George Mortenson who arranged the stamps in an attractive Initial
JS of his first love.
Prizes were awarded in the above sequence
as judged by Jeff Shapiro.
The
Show and Tell comprised the following:

covers
