WALTHAM STAMP CLUB

Minutes of the meeting of March 17, 2009

President Shufrin opened the meeting at 7:55 with 30 in attendance.

Treasurer Mark Butterline reported a positive balance including escrow. He also noted that dues of $12 are due.

Visitors were Stan Reible and former club member Al Stadtman.

A second reading was made for Mike Morris and he was welcomed into membership.

Old Business

     Mike Morris asked members to let him know specifically what they would like to be able to do with a microscope system. This information would let him suggest an appropriate system for the Club.

New Business

     The next meeting will be a Saturday morning brunch on April 4^th starting at 9:30 am.

The meeting closed at 8:10 and was followed by a 179 lot auction masterfully conducted by George Norton. Included in the lots were a solid brass door from a post office box and a 15 pound box of on and off paper recent US stamps with a minimum bid of 37 cents, it went for $5.50.
