Minutes of the meeting of
December 16, 2008
President
Shufrin opened the meeting at 8:05 with 17 in attendance.
The
treasury showed a positive net balance.
The
minutes of the meeting of November 15, 2008 were approved.
A
first reading was made for applicants: Julian Cranberg
( a youth applicant) who is interested in topicals and Stephen Kruskall,
who is specializes in cinderellas and post cards.
Old
Business
John Breckenridge’s widow has sent a nice
thank you note to the club.
Re:WALPEX
2009 – the club is considering ways to honor those who have attended the last
10 shows.
The club will buy the next edition of
Scott’s.
New
Business
The President reviewed the schedule for
year 2009, noting 3 guest speakers, 2 workshops, 3 auctions being among the
planned activities.
Museum notes: Bazaar is on February 28 and
a wine tasting fund raiser on March 23.
The meeting closed at 8:28 and was
followed by a Yankee Swap involving 9 members. Popular swaps were a lighted
magnifier and a precision perf guage.
