The Minutes of the meeting of November 21, 2009 were approved.

A first reading was made for applicant Ted Atkinson.

Old Business

James Hencke commented on the APS bourse book sales at the recent morning meeting noting how difficult it is to figure what areas appeal to our membership.

Steve Tauber said there are more stamp kits available for the contest to make order out of disorder.

New Business

Peter Lenk offered to add Museum information to his shipments of stamps he makes to his internet customers. The members thought this was a good idea.

Norm was given rousing applause for his leadership in 2009.

11 members participated in the Yankee Swap and there was a bit of swapping for the big red stockbook and for the Rockwell plaque.

The meeting closed at 8:21 and was followed by a short presentation by Jeff Brigham about his recent visit to an Amsterdam open air stamp market. He showed photos (via a digital projector) of the several vendor setups in a wooded street area. He also noted that in that general area there were 3 stamp stores.

Minutes submitted by Richard Spencer – Approved at a meeting on January 5, 2010

It is noted that the meeting of December 1 was a Phlea market attended by 34 enthusiastic members about equally divided into buyers and sellers. There was considerable activity at the bourse books, the Museum shop, and the coffee room. And a “received in damaged condition” USPS package on its way to a dumpster was rescued by George Norton for his collection.
