New Business

The members were asked if there was interest in visiting the upcoming APS show in Hartford. Seven indicated interest and a bus trip may be arranged which would be open to members of other clubs and members of the Museum. Further information will be forthcoming.
The President noted that our Italian member has been heard from and will be paying his dues.
He also reminded members of the Annual Meeting and Banquet on May 6th and to let him know if they want reservations.
The meeting closed at 8:33 and was followed by Peter Lenk’s workshop on selling on StampWants.com. He started by comparing the costs of offering auction items on ebay to those of StampWants.com, SWC. The costs are much greater for ebay, however ebay has a much greater numbers of customers and covers the world. Peter sells a lot of stamps on SWC and is pleased with the response he gets. He demonstrated how he puts material up for auction including a live scanning of a stamp and how he puts it on the SWC site including all the conditions of sale. The use of a digital projector and the actual act of placing a stamp for auction sale made for a very compelling workshop.
