Prospectus - Rules and Regulations
  1. Exhibition is open to all individual collectors. The material exhibited must be the bona fide property of the exhibitor. Exhibits with dual ownership are only eligible if the individuals are husband and wife or parent and child. Material with corporate ownership may only be entered noncompetitively (invited).

  2. A separate entry form must be submitted for each exhibit (either electronically or paper), along with the entry fee (payable by check, money order or PayPal) must be received by the Exhibit Chairman by March 15, 2020. Submissions should include title page, synopsis and list of references for the jury.

  3. Exhibits may be entered in any one of four classes: Open, Youth, Single Frame and, by invitation, Noncompetitive. No exhibit may be larger than ten (10) frames.

  4. Exhibits will be judged by a panel of at least five APS accredited judges whose decisions will be final. Each exhibit will be judged on its own merits. Competitive exhibits will be judged based on nine levels of award (large gold, gold, large vermeil, vermeil, large silver, silver, silver-bronze, bronze and certificate). A Grand Award and a Reserve Grand Award will be given to the best exhibits in the open class and Grand awards will be given to the best exhibits in the single frame and youth classes. Appropriate special awards will also be presented. The Grand Award winner of the Multi-Frame class will be eligible to enter the winning exhibit in the next World Series of Philately, competing for the Champion of Champions award.

  5. Collectors who have not reached their twenty-second birthday as of January 1, 2020, may exhibit, at their option, in the Youth Class. Youth exhibits are restricted to a maximum of five (5) frames.

  6. Single-frame exhibitors may (at their option) send a copy of their complete exhibit with their application to the address above. Changes may be made to the exhibit after this submission. The Grand Award winner in the Single-Frame class will be eligible to enter the winning exhibit in the next Single-Frame Champion of Champions award (provided at least six (6) exhibits are shown). No more than ten (10) single frame exhibits will be accepted by the show.

  8. Each frame will hold sixteen 9" x 12" pages. Slightly larger pages can be accommodated with some overlapping. All pages must be inserted in transparent sleeves and should bear progressive numbers on the reverse to indicate the mounting order. Entries with odd size pages must be sent with instructions to indicate how they can be mounted in the sixteen-page frames.

  9. An exhibitor may enter a maximum of two multi-frame and two single-frame exhibits. A separate entry form must be submitted for each entry.

  10. The Exhibit Committee reserves the right to decline any exhibit for any reason whatsoever. All fees paid will be refunded in case of refusal.

  11. Mail-in exhibits should be sent to the Spellman Museum of Stamps & Postal History, 241 Wellesley St., Regis College Campus, Weston MA 02493, to arrive not earlier than April 24, nor later than April 29, 2020. Hand delivered exhibits will be accepted at the Admissions Desk of Philatelic Show (Boxboro Regency) on Thursday, April 30, 2020, from 3 to 8 P.M.

  12. Any exhibitor who will not be picking up an exhibit in person (or having a designated agent do so) must include prepayment for the return of the exhibit. The name of the agent picking up the exhibit must be provided to the Exhibit Chairman prior to May 1, 2020. All exhibits returned by mail must have the instructions and fees included with the application.

  13. Owners must provide their own insurance. All reasonable care will be taken to ensure the safety of the exhibits; however, no responsibility shall be attached to Philatelic Show, the Northeastern Federation of Stamp Clubs, Inc. or the Boxboro Regency Hotel, including their officers, members, or employees, for any loss whatsoever.

  14. No exhibit may be removed until after the exhibition closes on Sunday, May 3, at 3PM and the exhibit hall is cleared of all visitors. Exhibitors will be assisted in dismounting their exhibits.

  15. A banquet and awards ceremony will be held the evening of May 2. Tickets may be available for purchase at the show or through the online form.
