Minutes of the meeting of
January 8, 2008
Vice
President Chris Brouady opened the meeting at 8:02 with 25 in attendance.
The
Treasurer being absent, there was no Treasurer’s report.
The
minutes of the meeting of December 18, 2007 were approved.
Old Business
·
A second reading was had for applicant Dave Bigalow and he was welcomed
into membership.
·
George Lupian reported that Ralph Malgrem, a founding member of the club, has died. It is
planned to make a donation to the Museum in his memory at a future club
meeting.
New Business
·
James Henke, Bourse Manager, thanked George Mortenson
for filling in at the last meeting and noted that one more book has been
submitted to the bourse.
·
The next meeting is on the 22nd.
The
meeting closed at 8:15 and was followed by a 120 lot auction ably conducted by
Jim Nalbandian. The total take for the auction was $151 with about one third
due to the Museum lots. In this auction there were many fine lots of duck
stamps, UN items, and covers that evoked almost no interest from the attendees.
