Minutes of the meeting of September 20, 2011

 

President Brouady opened the meeting at 7:47 with 22 in attendance.

 

The Treasurer reported a positive balance.

 

The minutes of the meeting of September 6, 2011 were approved.

 

WALPEX:  The food issue has been resolved and there will be food.

 

Member Welfare: Zachary Roi has passed away.

 

A second reading was made for Yoesey Shapiro and he was voted into membership.

 

Bourse News: There will be APS circuit books at the November Saturday morning meeting.

 

The wireless router has been installed and can be used by members tonight. It is expected that it wlll be used at WALPEX for both attendees and vendors.

 

The next meeting will feature Jeff Shapiro on “win the war stamps”

 

The meeting closed at 8:15 and was followed by 12 “show and tells”

George Cooley: first day covers.

Peter Lenk: The 1847USA web site; he demonstrated the vast amount of material available at that site. He also demonstrated two other sites: askphil and reentries.
